June Run Possible ??

Since a lot of you like to do the runs in Southern Indiana would anyone be up for a similar type run in Southeastern Ohio/ West Virginia.

Thinking of all driving over on a Friday evening camping out, Saturday run over in West Virginia, back down and cross over the Ohio River on one of the last Ferry's still operating in the US. Sunday get up and hit roads/trails down on the Ohio side and head home mid afternoon.

This would all take place in a lot of the Wayne National Forest area of Ohio. These are township roads but steep, narrow and great views. In West Virginia it would be much of the same. If looking at a map would be in the Marietta (Ohio) area up the river to above New Martinsville WV areas

So we could just do Ohio for two days or both Ohio/ WVa
Just throwing out ideas here. This will not be hard core wheeling but more Expedition type of Exploring. Most stock could make it through with some help maybe.
Things to see
Several covered bridges, old country stores, creek crossings, great views of the Ohio River from several places
So we could do a fast paced trip or a slower stop and look at the world trip
It would or could be a family type of trip as well

I have nothing in june, it's totally my vacation time and that sounds like a lot of fun!

I'd be in, provided I can get off of work. I'm not so sure how easy that is going to be with this new job I got. Only one way to find out I guess... :roll:

talked with the wife and we may be able to make it as long as its not too close to the end of June.....we're at Silver Lake right after the 4th of July

WOW! Around an 8 hour drive for me. I'd love to do it though. I'll have to keep an eye out on this thread and see when it's going to happen.

I would like to go, but depends on weekend. I have a wedding 1 weekend and our yearly family vacation happens in june, but plan away!!!

Sounds like an interesting trip. Depending on when the event occurs I might be able to attend. The first weekend I have free in June is the 26th.

Sounds like a good time. Providing it isnt the weekend of a silly wedding i am in is. I still havent figured that out yet..
