I know I do.

I feel like I've known more people than ever in the last year die or become infected with it. A lot of it is probably coming from where we all grew up, in the Ohio Valley.

Anyways, I decided to sign up for a charity event in Charlotte, NC that helps donate to fight cancer. Its called 24 Hours of Booty. Which means I'll be jumping on my road bike and riding for darn near 24 hours. I don't know if I can hack the whole 24 hours, but I'm going to ride darn near long as I can. Because the next day I'll never be able to feel as sore as someone with cancer, so I want to push myself.

Normally I wouldn't ask anything like this, but I'm trying to raise money for the organizations that are involved in it. So if anyone would like to toss some money to help fight cancer it'd be appreciated. AND I won't even see this money! It goes straight to the orgs.

I HATE CANCER

A few friends and family has passed away from it over the last 2 years. and they were around my age within a few years of 33....

I was gonna make a posting for my cousin that we are trying to raise money for her. She has an unknowen cancer and her health ins is not covering anything over 25% of cost. She is paying 75% out of pocket and she is in bad shape.....finc and medic
It is hard times, but cancer is harder.

Normally I would offer up a donation but I just completed two years of cancer treatment, myself. The Doc says it will take at least another year for the side effects of the treatments to disappear. Even with good health insurance my out-of-pocket expenses would have more than paid for an SFA conversion.

During that time I lost two old friends to cancer. Neither of them reached their 50th birthday.

So yes. Cancer sucks.

Just found out today that a good friend of mine's mother AND fiancee were both diagnosed with breast cancer.

Sucks...couldn't happen to two nicer people
