1. Saying NO does not make you less of a wheeler.
2. You are responsible for your rig and the well being of everyone in it.
3. If someone does an obstacle it doesn't mean you'll have the same results, the opposite is true too.
4. Knowing your vehicle is half the battle! Driving capabilities is the other half of it!
5. Making an obstacle look easy takes experience. Experience takes seat time.
6. One's equipment can never cover up the lack of experience.
7. Know your vehicle. Even more so know your limitations!
8. Every rig is different and performs differently. Stock vehicles can have fun too.
9. When in doubt ask questions. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask.
10. Don't drink and drive, remember Wheelin responsibly includes drinking responsibly.

Top 10 Additional Rock Crawling Etiquette Guidelines

1. Never do it alone!
2. A spotter can see things you can't.
3. Listen to your spotter.
4. Everyone barking out orders to the driver is confusing. Communicate with the spotter
5. Sometimes slow crawling works and sometimes wheel speed is the key.
6. An engine brake helps slow you down and preserve your brakes.
7. When winching beware of the cable. Wear gloves and stay to the side or in front of what it's attached to.
8. Tree savors are a must.
9. Tow straps with metal hooks are not the best choice.
10. You'll never know unless you try it.

Top 10 General Etiquette Guidelines

1. No one is left behind. Just like the Rangers!
2. The Trail Boss and Tail Gunner are responsible for the group.
3. The Trail Boss should profile the obstacles for everyone.
a. Example; I suggest stockers go here, rockers there..
4. CB?s are the best way to communicate with the convoy.
5. When you need to know something ask the Trail Boss.
6. If the Trail Boss is unavailable ask the Tail Gunner.
7. If the Trail Boss and Tail Gunner are not available collaborate with other more experienced wheelers.
8. Families wheel too, be aware of where the kids are.
9. Wheelin Grillin and Chillin is the name of the GAME!
10. The Event Planner may not always have the answers but can help to find them.

Another good one to follow while on the trail:

Always keep the person behind you in sight and make sure they always see you at every turn in the trail. If everyone does that then a group will stay together.
