Exactamundo. When I was a kid, the big thing was CFC's in aerosol cans busting a hole in the ozone layer. When is the last time you heard buzz in the media about what was the "global warming" of the 1980's? Politics got involved, aerosol makers had to switch to CFC-free propellants, and smog (created by O3 [ozone]) controls got tighter.

Crises are pathways for the political-power hungry (bureaucrats, in this case) to gain control and influence in the private sector - exactly what the founders of this country were rebelling against when they declared independence from Great Britain. Yes, I know that is oversimplifying the ideals of the American Revolution - but it is an apt correlation. And a very disturbing one.

But my real beef with "global warming" is what I explained earlier - empirically, it cannot be proven using the scientific method. And I HATE it when theory and opinion get introduced to the American populace as fact rather than supposition.

greenhouse gasses

faithful govt/whoever paid scientists for EPA left out the largest greenhouse gas from their reports, the one that accouts for (dont quote) i believe it was 91% of greenhouse gasses. Apparently it was left out because humans don't contribute to even a marginal increase of it on a planet perspective.

Water vapor

Call the EPA, or any other global warming 'reputable' source and ask them why water vapor wasn't accounted for in their figures

Yep, reminds me of when Dupont’s Patent ran out on R12, so they switched to R134a for environmental reasons.

i got put up to it the first time by my uncle who's a environmental engineer or smarty-pants something or other that writes text books *shrug*

environment has several meanings, most of the environmental pollution i experience is on my tv and radio

..is another CFC scam to make big money for those who do little work and make big bucks. After all the Big Dame with the BIG RACK from NAPA VALLEY was invited by T Boone Pickens to invest in Natural Gas. When it comes to the Climate Gate, FOLLOW THE MONEY.

Prof. Michael Mann, another prominent climate scientist, is also under inquiry by Penn State University."

Time to see them all dragged out in Hand Cuffs on National TV and thrown in prison for life.
Another alternative would let them go live with the Teleban and see how they get along with them.

I was stunned this morning when I heard about Climate Gate on BBC and then NPR.
I am one who feels that all Criminals should be Prosecuted, even those who have crossed the line for Political Objectives.
