Kind of airsoft-related ...

Will I get in trouble if I modified one of the electric models to, say, turn it into a turret? I was thinking of modeling it off of the Portal turret gun but I sure don't wanna be woken up in the middle of the night by agents from ATF.

Reviving an old thread. My 2 sons are getting interested in airsoft guns. I have bought them both Crosman pistols to target practice out in the back yard with. But they are wanting better rifles for Christmas. Any airsoft experts on here that can point me in the right direction for some good info on making a more informed decision on what to buy for them? I know there are a ton of sites out there on airsoft stuff. Just wondering if any of you can point me to some that are unbiased and informative. I don't want to spend $500 per gun on them, but I don't mind spending enough money to get them something good to start with, that is also upgradable as they get more involved...

G&G (guay guay) or classic army...i myself had a KWA KM4A1...was about $550 out of the box

To be honest...anything with a metal gear box is your best buy, I got the KWA because it was FULL METAL, the whole thing. I mean, you place it next to a real M4, they look and feel just the same.

The Guay Guay are nice too, metal gear box, but they can come with some plastic on it to save costs. That is the route that I would take
