Toyota built the FJ to compete with the JK and Jeep built the KJ to compete with the Rav4. No matter how you want to look at it, this is the way both companies feel their lineup matches up.

I don't care how anyone matches anything up. Don't see what the big deal is. If It makes you feel better I was looking at a Rav4 ya happy now? You've made your point now move on, we are currently talking about the toyota FJ.

I would never drive one. I'd walk, ride my bike. It's a Toyota, it probably will go out of control before visibility is a concern.... :-)r

That is what the compass and patriot was designed for.The KJ was the replacement for the XJ which often got pitted against Land Rovers.The KJ is not even close to a rav4,crv,and escape as all 3 of those where crossovers built off of prominent car based platforms(accord,camary,and taurus)and do not have 4wd,AWD systems only with no low range and not selectable(all automatic).

KJ is better than a FreeLander or LR2....those have no low range...
