Man, oh man, am I ready for winter... It's 106* right now. Last night, at midnight, it was still in the mid-90s on my back porch.

When you're used to 100 degree humid weather all year, the cold sucks balls! I am a Floridian, I don't do cold.
Working in the freezer at work is even worse.
0* for 4 hours, out for an hour, then back in for 4 hours....... horrible.

I should clarify, I spent the first 21 years of my life in north Florida... During winter, I'd wear shorts on all but the coldest days. You've got to revel in the cool temps when you've got them!

Then again, you south Floridians are wimps :jester:

think of it this way, you can stay warm in the winter, but its hard to stay cool in the summer.

I've spent my entire life in North Florida, I deal with cold better that the southerners.
I don't wear jeans until it gets into the 50's.
Low 60's its shorts and a long sleeve shirt or a hoodie, if that.
Once it hits the 40's I usually throw on the bigger coat with a t-shirt under it.

I can deal with the heat better than I can the cold.
When you've played 3 years of football and 2 years of baseball in an all black uniform, you get used to the heat. :seuss:

Haha, ouch!! Back in high school, I was in the marching band... Our uniforms were 100% wool, so you can imagine how much fun we had during noon football games and daytime parades! :dead:

Oh, I know how you feel. Well, except the wool part.
All of my games were always saturdays between 12 and 4, hottest times of the day.
Practice 4 days a week starting at 4:30 for 3 hours. It was horrible!
Baseball wasn't as bad because it was a little bit cooler and didn't have to wear all those pads and crap.

But now I'm done with football and can sit inside in the nice a/c on those hott saturdays. :D

Fall is my favorite time of year. Football comes back, it gets cooler outside, my wife and I always vacation in the fall because of our anniversary, fall has that "smell" to it. . . and football comes back.

Did I mention football comes back in the fall?

Winter in SE TX/ South Louisiana is cold and wet. It rarely snows, but the cold goes straight to your bones. If you're gonna be outside, you better dress warm and have a fire handy. Otherwise you'll be paying $$$ to your dentist to recap your teeth after they're shattered by uncontrollable chattering.

I feel ya on the SE TX winters. I agree on the "smell" of fall too. I remember growing up and there was a bad ice storm one year(around 97 I think). It got down to 12 degrees. I enjoyed the winters out in Colorado much more. The cold didn't "stick" to you.
