Unemployment and Shaving!?!?!?

I switched over to using an antique Gillette double-edged razor and brush a couple months back... Much closer shave, no razor burn, and a heck of a lot less money.

Been growing a beard since August.Sporting the Amish-Afgani look.
Told my wife a few months ago that I would shave if the Saints won the big game.

I remember when dad shaved his beard once when i was a kid... he scared the crap out of my brother and I. He never did that again. :lol:

When I was 5-7... My father shaved his mustache that he had forever.... Freaked me out so bad that I wouldn't look at him :lol:

... I carried around a pillow for weeks, and everytime I saw my dad I would hide behind the pillow! :-)r

I had some type of facial hair from mustache to full beard hanging down on my chest from 18 until age 50
Then I asked my wife to marry me
her answer "Yes but I want you clean shaven" :shock:

My face felt naked, it was cold, and she laughed ! :twisted:

Now too much gray so ........
I hate shaving everyday though! :furious:

I think I saw that pillow lying in your favorite chair at the Meet and Greet few weeks ago.... :goink:

I said I wouldn't shave my mustache when I was in college.... said it to the wrong bunch of dorm mates.... they held me down and only shaved half so I had to shave the other half....that was in 1989. Haven't shaved 'stache since then.

Tom....isn't she like thousands of miles away.... you can let it grow until she comes home :BANANA:

My wife wasn't a fan of facial hair either but she tolerated my goatee as long as I kept it trimmed close to my face. She has probably rolled over in her grave the way it looks today.

I agree, having to shave every day sucks.

When my wife met me, I had a bushy, ~6" long goatee. I then had to shave it for a mission trip to Thailand, where people with beards are considered sneaky. After returning, we started dating, and I grew a chinstrap, Abe Lincoln-style beard (I hate having a moustache) and wore that for the next 7 years. I had to shave it about a year and a half ago for a project assignment at a refinery, and she could hardly stand to look at me for the first week or two = no loving. She eventually got used to it, but as soon as I got my "finish date" on that project, she asked me, "You're gonna grow your beard back, right?" So I'm blessed that my wife WANTS me to have facial hair. . . :-)r
