Just finished this bike for a friend. Came in as a basket case - Now I am happy to report that he had no issues on the ride up and back to the H-D 105th Anniversary party in Milwaukee this holiday weekend. 1942 WLA 45" Bobber My current project is this Frisco Rigid Shovel for a customer. I call this a catalog build. The guy came in with sketches of what he wanted and a blank check. I just started ordering everything needed to build a bike from the ground up. So 2 months later, here is where we are. Should be done in another week or two. We should have a Sticky here titled "Other Projects". Would be cool to see what other members work on besides their KJ's.

Thanks. It works for a home garage. I just wish I could afford more "shop toys" like I have at the H-D dealership.

I'm working on a 69 yellow/black Baja Bug that I refer to as "Bumblebee" It should be up and running sometime next month. I'll get pictures up soon.

both look good CrossBones, I have been trying to find a frame to start building on this winter since both of my HDs went up in smoke when the garage burnt couple of months back. Also was wanting a Pan at first but have a line on a built Shovel that may suit my needs. Where did you get the frame in the second pic, (the Frisco rigid)? It may work Thanks and some good looking rides, as my buddy John would say "Those are Killer Fine!"

As for the Frisco style frame, a guy here in the Chicago area builds frames. Up until a year or so ago, he would take orders but no longer does that due to the fact he hasn't got the time anymore. Anyway, he had this frame sitting in his shop and it was perfect for the project. I, or I should say my customer lucked out finding this frame. This style frame is rare and not many build them. But I would suggest you look at Paughco Frames. They should have just about any frame style to match your needs - Including rigid frames close to the Frisco style. Bummer about the garage fire.

Been looking at the Paughcos, used one a few years back for a build and they do have nice ones. Built one for my girlfriend at the time, after it was done she won 5 first place and 3 second place with it and then took off with someone else! Glad she went, just miss all the work I put into that dang thing!

You do some sweet work, nice bikes. I figured more people would post other projects....here's my current headache, I mean project. bought it "used, as is"in Oct 2004 from dealer, drove it 5 wks, change oil, immediately started knocking. pushed it in grage and forgot about it for couple years, finally getting it moving along. very close to being started with new motor. Day I brought it home..... here it was just a couple months ago, now motor is in and close to starting. WHAT A PAIN!!!! out the bottom!!!!

Nope, the Tahoe. Looked like it had 285s or perhaps 305s? and some body lift. Recognized it from the picture

OK I'll play, here's my current project, freebie courtesy of my in-laws: 1965 Peterborough Fury with original '65 45 hp West Bend (bought by Chrysler in 66) outboard. Hull is in good shape, needs a new floor badly, new windshield, paint job, miscellaneous hardware, re-upholster seats, and we're good to go. We've had it out on the water once, she ran great! Just wish I had a garage to work on it in the winter. Nice looking bikes, by the way CrossBones!

Some cool projects going on in this thread. I'll add the one I'm working on... 1979 Catalina 30' with 50' mast We are putting in a new Yanmar diesel, new wood flooring, new kitchen, new dining area, new bathroom, new comm station, new lines, new controls, new sails, etc, etc., etc. We've pretty much gutted 'er and are starting over again. Everything is rigged back to the cockpit, so she can be sailed single-handedly. We have an air conditioner that fits into the forward hatch too, for those more humid trips. She should be a fun weekender sometime next year.

That is a nice looking sailboat dog_party. Sailing off into the sunset is a great way to live life. I used to build RVs with a friend that now builds 100+ foot luxury motor yachts. The detail involved, the weight and balance of each part, how you have to ballast the boat, is all just amazing.

So I finished the custom build and delivered the bike to my customer.... And now I am building another bike for a girl (a friends wife). Hence the powder blue / dove gray colors. The Basics: Frame: 2006 Paughco. Stretch: 4 up, 4 out. Rake: 38 degrees. Front end: Springer (powdercoated & chrome). Engine: S&S Shovelhead 93 c.i. Trans: Prowler 6-spd. Final drive: Chain. Primary: Belt 3" open.
