I do drive a snowcat for a living. 9pm to 9am always finishing the day at 12060 ft. Some days are like this photo. Others, the only thing you can see in front of you are your windshield wipers :twisted:

It was a tough job to get. Had it landed a few years back but hurt myself and put me out for the season. had to wait another 4 years to get it. all in all took me about 6 years to land the job. a highly regarded job in these parts

and it should be fun.as long as you're not the guy who has to clear Pike's Peak in the spring

there's something about having to look for a little stick poking out of the snow to see whether you fall off the mountain.

Acrually I do some similar work as clearing Pikes. We have a road that runs out to our double black circ that need daily upkeep. It's pretty scary on mornings when you cant see any thing. sitting and waiting for a quick glimps of a piece of bamboo that marks the road and knowing that you are sitting a few feet from 100 foot cliffs and the road is completely blown over....hardest part of the job. Other wise it's pretty cool. Sitting back all night listening to xm radio in a heated cab and cruising the ski area. I dig it.
