nothing new, they roll out a list like this every year. with the demand for smaller more fuel efficient cars things are going to get worse safetywise before they get better.

Dudes & dudettes, if you don't read Forbes you may have missed that it has become a sensationalist muckraking rag of late in an attempt to stay alive due to dwindling periodicals sales.

Cars today, even the worst available in this country, are head & shoulders more safe then they were 20-30-40-50 years ago. When adjusted for # of cars and miles travels, today's highway death rate is a small fraction of what it used to be. But, they have to find someway to sell magazines....

sure.. certain things are getting warmer, it's called the earths 'ice age' environmental climate cycle, eg. I'ts SUPPOSTA do that!

it surely doesn't mean to stop recycling your coke cans, recycling makes certain things cheeper i suppose

pintos were rolling fuel tank bombs asking for a rear end collision, i've heard the same thing said about our KJ or any other vehicle that has the fuel tank mounted behind the rear axle

i suppose it's worse off for us seeing how its behind the rear axle protected by a plastic bumper but you could say the same about any vehicle that has a trunk

can't make everyone happy, if cars are driving themselves through peoples garages (audi) or rolling fire hazards (fierros) then there's a manufacturing problem, if your junk is catching fire after a rear end collision because your stuff was protected by a plastic bumper then there's a consumer problem

like i said can't make everyone happy

i try not to read much of those mag's drivel, although that doesn't mean there isn't things worthwhile in there

I'd much rather hear drivers personal experiences, i'd take you guy's input over some drivel for profit mag in a heartbeat
