Im wanting to build a tandem trailer, and I am planning on using 2x4x 3/16" tubing or maybe some 3x 1/4" angle for the frame but for axles I know I can buy them from Northern Tool but I dont want to spend that much and I was wondering how good trailer house axles would be, I found a pair for $40. The trailer will be used for helping people move to towing my CJ, so it will be wide enough for a car to ride on t and about 14' long. anyone ever use the trailer house axles for a trailer? |

you can never have enough projects, plus this one is for while Im at school bc the house my buddies and I are renting has a 220 so I can take my stick welder to school and have some fun.

mobile home/ house trailer axles work, some even come with electric brakes, finding tires/wheels can be a pain at times so make sure you have one or two spares around at all times, a lot of the tires are dry rotted as well when you get them so check those as well. We built 3 for friends and one guy hauled a JD dozer on his, made it a 5th wheel tri axle though. So sure they will work

So sure they will work thats what I thought, I read somewhere was that the wheels are hard to find but Im pretty sure I can find some wheels |
