Does anyone on the forum know if Dodge Durango's were Solid Axle or IFS? |

First gen (98-03) had solid front & rear axle. Second gen (04-09) has independent front & solid rear axle |

The Durango has always been IFS. The 1st gen was based on the Dakota & had CV & Ball joint issues, as well. I THINK it was a D30 front, though, so that may help. You may be on to something because, with the limited info that I have, the dakota/durango used a D30 front. |
