structuring has came a long way material longevity? maybe not so much but you do what you can can scale the rust off a old ford pre 60's and shoot a coat of primer and paint it and make a new one scale the rust off a newer car and you have holes haha |

The difference is that you probably won't ever have to do that on a new car, since the rust proofing has improved by orders of magnitude in the past 50 years. |

So the title of this thread is misleading. The results however speak for themselves. Of course I would argue the outcomes pertaining to both driver's of those vehicles. For almost a century people have been surviving auto related crashes that you wouldn't think they would. Granted safety has come a long way over the years but let's not forget that drivers of these new cars (regardless of air bags and safety improvements) die every day in traffic accidents. I'll take a '59 Bel Air. Here's something else that is pretty simple - I could buy two, maybe three 2010 SS Camaro's with the cash I would receive selling my 1969 SS Camaro. Which reminds me - What really bother's me about that video is that whoever was behind that crash test should get their A** kicked for destroying an American classic automobile. |
