Sandy Bellanger really, really likes to drink. But she apparently doesn't like to drink and drive. So she made it a practice to have her 14-year-old son chauffeur her from bar to bar. Police didn't think this was such a good idea...



Around midnight, deputies noticed a car driving erratically in Golden Meadow, Louisiana. When they pulled it over, they found the 14-year-old driving with his 4-year-old sister and 2-year-old brother in the backseat.

The boy said he'd driven to TK's Bar to get his mother to come home. But apparently mom isn't the kind to let tending to her children get in the way of liquoring herself up. She refused.

While deputies were questioning the boy, another car pulled up. Lo and behold, it was the 38-year-old Bellanger, who readily explained her boy's chauffeuring service.

She was charged with allowing an unlicensed minor to drive, having an open container, improper supervision of a minor and child desertion.
