Post subject:  The trailer park has come to our subdivision.
I was looking out the front window, at the house across the street that has been vacant for several weeks now, when all of a sudden, a pickup (regular cab) pulled into the driveway, and an older man with a 2 foot long ponytail, his wife, their 30 something daughter and 3 little kids...(2 in diapers) came out of it. Well, needless to say, I have been watching this situation closely, for the sheer entertainment value of it. Yesterday, the man and his wife go to work. When they pull out, I see an old baby bed mattress, an older well used gas grill, an unassembled high chair,several of the old web style lawn chairs, and trash bags with who knows what in them sitting in front of and around the yard. (they moved with trash bags, not boxes) The 30 something woman (daughter) which just happens to be very hard on the eyes, comes out in a black nightgown, covered with a leopard skin print house robe that was open in the front. I just about but my 9mm to my head at the sight of it all. She drags out an old stand mirror, and tapes off the glass part. She then fires up a smoke and starts to spray paint the mirror frame. It is windy, and the overspray is going right into their 2000+ something little car. OMG! She pauses from time to time to admire her work, taking a long drag from the smoke pole, and commences to fog the area again. Well, I had seen enough, and stopped looking at the entertainment for the day. This morning, the 30 something chick is up in their big front window with a measuring tape apparently measuring for curtains. She had the tape stretched out, with arms overhead, straining the fabric of that nightgown. Now I ain't into peeping toms, but there are some side shows that a person just can't look away from. Well, I tore myself away and in the meantime, the mom and dad came home in the truck. Apparently, they work for an insulating business as the advertising on the truck would indicate. I'll keep you posted from time to time.

PS. No offense to anyone currently inhabiting a trailer house. Been there done that.

No. Well, the granny I guess works doing insulation. The trash people just came and took the rolling dumpster away. I guess they are going to recycle those trash bags and just set it out on the curb. Enter the cats.

Not minoritys. Just plain ole white folks, an ever increasing rarity.

Well, it snowed last night. Got about 2 inches of wet, springtime slop. It will be gone pretty quickly. All is quiet on the eastern front this morning. Nothing stirring at all. Mom and dad (grandma and grandpa) must have slept in. The insulation truck is still in the driveway. The landlords (old neighbors) came over the weekend and pulled off the old camper trailor that was being stored there, along with taking the old deep freezer out of the garage. The "oversprayed little car" must be in the garage. The big window (peep show) curtains are open, but nothing is pressed up against them from the inside. I don't know if the 30 something chick is married and her ole' man is overseas, in jail, or if she just got knocked up from having one to many in a bar one night. No sign of the babies father. Stay tuned.........

Not much to report today. We did get 8 inches of new snow last night. The trailer folks go outside to smoke, and they take their shoes off and leave them on the front step when they go inside. Well, they forgot to take them inside, and they ran across them when they were shoveling their front walk. Bummer! You know, I always assumed that the 30 something girl was the daughter, but they might be Mormons.
