How funny....the first pictuer of the Republic of Texas Bike Rally shows a guy with the Mexico flag on his leather vest! Remember the Alamo! :SOMBRERO:

How many bikers showed up for that?

Picture 139......she must have had too much plastic surgery. She can't open her eyes her skin is sooooo stretched out. Where are all the Texas flags? I see more USA flags. :seuss:



Tedfest and I were involved in a 500 bike rally called Wounded Warrior project last month. The cops covered the whole thing on their bikes and blocked each intersection so our two abreast bike rally could flow nonstop for 44 miles.

Not sure how many - paper estimates 40,000 people show up for the rally - they have the Exposition center on the edge of town packed - and then bikes all over town and touring through the hill country - for the Parade they just shutdown 6th street and Congress avenue and go up to the Capitol so it's only about a mile or so - but it's solid bikes.

Yeah - it's 'The Republic of Texas' - but there are still more USA flags than Texas flags.......

Most times I like small groups, but it is fun at times to be in a large parade type run like that. Most I have ever been in was like 290/300, and that seemed like a lot. :wink:

My ex-wife and I used to go to this each year, during the late '90s) while we were stationed at Fort Hood. I see it's gotten considerably larger since then!
