I have to head north on the 10th to Appleton for training. Stopping off in Rockdale Ill for the evening to visit with a friend. Wished I would have more time, I will be in class from 8 am until after 7pm everyday... no time for site seeing!
I know yellow Jamie/Aaron are up that way, wished I could stop and meet ya all, probably won't be in the cards though.

Ask your wife if she minds you trading the Tahoe for a real truck an "Oshkosh Diesel" that can do some serious off roading when you call home.

I'm staying in Rockdale for Sat evening, my buddy is taking me out to dinner, then have to be at introductory dinner @ 5pm in Appleton Sunday night. Jamie, I'll probably be heading up 355 Sunday morning sometime if you and Aaron want to have late coffee as I head up.
Sure hope you aren't meaning trade the Tahoe for the Liberty... ppfftt!! NEVER!!!!
I'll be driving an "intermediate" car, probably a POS pt cruiser or elantra..... not sure how that will do in some offroading :jester:

I mapped it, looks like 3 1/2 hrs or so from Rockdale to Appleton... sound about right? Luckily I get to break the drivin up on the way there, going to be straight drive home on that friday... 490 miles, not leaving until after 3 pm :banghead:

have to see how it goes, not sure when I will be leaving Sunday morning other than I have to be at that dinner @ 5pm.

Hey Tahoe,
I live in Madison and still work in Appleton (a few days a week). I will be heading back from a camping trip in Door County Sunday night the 11th and will be driving up to Appleton Monday and staying overnight either Tues or Wednesday night (leaning towards Wed.). I'm mostly stock and there aren't much for trails, but we could see about getting together for an informal M&G. If we posted something, we might even get a few other locals to meet us.

You up for it?

By the way, what training are you coming to Appleton for?

Well, I'll be in a rental CAR so no offroading in that, well, technically :jester:

. Not sure how much time I will have anyway... I have to be in classes/lectures from 8 am to 5 pm everyday the whole week, then they have dinner for us every night @ 6pm...pretty tied up. I'm going to Fox Technical College for the NIPRI training, it deals with the printing industry, inks, pigments, paper making, etc.
I think I do get Weds night dinner on my own, maybe free that night, but also have a coworker going too so may have to kind of hang out with her that night.

I've subscribed to this posting, so I'll get any messages you leave on here. I figured by your timing you wouldn't have time for any 4 wheeling, but I thought maybe you'd have some time for some 16oz curls... :5SHOTS:

I travel for work quite often, so I can completely understand, the being somewhere and not having time to actually do anything factor, so no pressure either way.

I was going to guess something for the paper industry, but didn't want to assume...

Go visit that school in Appleton that was in the documentary "Supersize Me" and see if they have changed their lunch menus and gotten rid of the soda pop machines. :ROTFL:

It is surprising enough that so many of you have been to Appleton, much less someone who has been to Tigerton! :ROTFL:

And I haven't even seen "super size me" and I didn't realize an Appleton school made it into the movie. I'd actually be less surprised if it was a Green Bay school! j/k for any of you GB Packer or native Green Bay folks... :wink:

I just realizes... if I leave @ 12, drive 5 1/2 hrs to Rockdale, I will get there @ 4:30, forgot you all are an hour behind. Great going up, but I leave Friday @ 4pm ( 5 Ohio time) and 8 1/2 drive home.... going to be 1-2 am before I get home :banghead:

jayme/aaron, not sure if I will make it Sunday morn, would love to meet you all, just maybe too pressed for time. Give ya a ring if I can.

Main thing Tahoe is to have a safe trip
Take your time and enjoy the ride, look around and see things along the way, not just buzz by them.
