Our KJs drive sweet, the Xterra drives like crap and in my opinion, not up to the quality of other Nissan cars. Maybe that has something to do with it. |

Nissan lost it's way with the Xterra. It was first introduced as a Gen X "just get out there" truck-based SUV. It was spartan with rubber interior, leaf-spring rear and lot's of rack to take your gear with you. Now the Xterras in our inventory include leather, plush carpeting and rear-seat video to name a few. It seems the Nissan decided at one point that the Xterra needed to compete with an H3 and a Honda Pilot. With all the changes in the market, Nissan has a chance to set the market and carve out a niche if it stays on the original message. |

The first gens had a terrible engine in terms of power. I rode in one (passenger seat) and did not like it at all. That's just me. Give one a try and see for yourself. |

well befor i got my kj and i was still driving my 93 zj i looked at a xterra and it did not seem to have the pickup or even the handling of my much older zj still think its a bit of a shame to see it go |
