I'm not sure if I had more fun playing Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein (the original one), or if System Shock was my favorite

naturally Quake2 had me for years

system shock, or system shock II are both WELL worth a search and a download, they're both free now, they were EXCELLENT games and way ahead of their time I still fire SS 2 up every now and then and play, never really got tired of it

pretty neat story line too
