Post subject:  OK, Now What? Now Where? and How!
Ok folks it is time to come up with some fun for the coming months. How about posting up some ideas of where to go and when.

I have a couple things up my sleeve but I would really like to hear from the masses.

Thinking mountain trail rides between now and end of Sept. to keep out of the desert heat. Need to squeeze another adopt-a-trail run in between now and end of year, thinking in October.

Calico in November for sure, if not sooner.
Johnson Valley in Oct.

Overnight trail ride w/ camping in Big Bear in the coming months?

Year end party w/ wheeling.....or w/out?

Anyone? Bueller?

Daytime Temps in Nov: High 76F Low 48F
December: High 65F Low 39F -kinda nippy

Camp at the hot springs.
Every one parties, gets naked and jumps in the hot springs...On second thought :shock:...BRING BATHINGSUITS :wink:

What about Pismo Beach?

Trails.......thats a dangerous ? to ask me.....so with only 5 gigs of available space I'll be brief. :lol:

Western Sierras: Shaver Lake area above Fresno Ca. home of the Dusy trail.
Many Rubicon style trails with access to dozens of remote lakes. Trails range from easy 4x4 to boulder bashing.
It's a great resort town with resturants and motels. I just came back from a trip there this week and it's a fantastic 4x area.

Eastern Sierras; Bishop to Mammoth, Ca.
Great back country exploring and remote lakes in alpine areas above the 10,000 ft level. Makes for a great vacation. These trails are moderate 4x4 and KJ friendly.

And of course the infamous Bullfrog trail in Johnson Valley OHV.
Not really KJ friendly except for JJ'sKJ. Granite boulder obsticle area, simular to Joshua Tree NP.

Mojave desert run in the Johnson Valley OHV area. Moderate and KJ friendly.

Thats all that comes to mind ...............for now!

BTW swimsuits are required..........sorry Burch....... we don't want to embarrass the animals.

I would think the eastern side would be best for the moderate to stockish Lib. The Shaver side is more on the John Bull level of difficulty. Although there are a few cool moderate trails. As far as camping...............um....there is a Motel 6 in Mammoth I had my eye on, and there are a few camp grounds in the Mammoth Lakes area about 4 miles from town.
