Hi guys i will be heading over to your neck of the woods in late July with my wife for a three week holiday visiting LA, Anaheim, Las Vegas and New York.

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what we must see and do while in New York City a locals knowledge would be great ???

Cheers, Michael

Well welcome to NY

If you are going to be in NYC I would say you should go see the:

Empire State building:
350 Fifth Avenue, between 33rd and 34th Streets, in midtown Manhattan.
New York, NY 10118

rockefeller center:
30 Rockefeller Plz
New York, NY

Chrysler Building:
405 Lexington Avenue
New York City, NY 10017

I hope you enjoy your stay in NYC. It is a great place. Like every one says, NYC the greatest city in the world.....

Like sports? A Yankees or Mets ballgame might be nice. Or better yet, the Brooklyn Cyclones. They're a rookie team for the NY Mets and are on the doorstop of Coney Island were you can get a Nathan's Hot Dog and some Fries (Chips). And enjoy some really 'old' amusement park rides. There is also an aquarium in the same area.

Going to the top of the Empire State building is a must. As well a ride on the Staten Island Ferry. The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium is another cheap adventure. They located on Central Park West & W79th St.

Chris,
Local N-E should all get together when this guy (MATE) comes in and take him to Grandma's for some good eats.
LOL

You want to drive? No way:
Rush Hour Traffic in NYC: http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/8163/m ... orkgi1.png

Anyway, welcome to NY, and just roam around, take the subway, don't stare at anyone, and you will be just fine.
:)
