Hey Guys & Gals,

I'm trying to find a "good" Jeep dealer that knows the in's & out's of working on a 2008 Jeep Patriot with a stick shift. I'm looking for a dealer in the Babylon, Syosset, Nassau area that you guys may have had a decent working relationship with and can give me the address.

In the past my friend has had issues with her Jeep's transmission, which is fixed now, but her dealer wasn't helpful at all.

Any help & assistance would really be appreciated.

Thanks, Steve

Hey Benny, thanks a lot, the thing is my girlfriend has been driving stick for 20 plus years, and a dealer was giving her a hard time because the service desk didn't know what a gear box was, and then the idiots asked her is she even knew how to drive a stick, which is unsettling on many levels, especially on a Jeep with less than 24K miles on it, they never even looked at the transmission. Benny, what are your summer plans?

My plans are to work and wheel. But as of now I have to chance my rear pinon bearing this week. And then put in my lift and skids.

Just saw this post, but I was going to Woodbury Jeep and they had a stellar service department. Very thorough and took the time to explain what the problem was clearly. They were always very busy so appointments needed to be made. I heard a rumor they were going out of business like so many other car dealers these days. It's a shame they had been a great five star dealer and in business for over 25 years.
I strted to work with Smithtown Jeep near the Smithhaven mall and Browns Jeep in Patchouge for my warranty work and they have treated me well so far. Good luck!

I live a block from Browns. I used them once and they were good.
