Just ranting, I'm sure all the NE folks feel the frustration as well. Who wants to sign a petition!

I do know for fact that class VI roads are subject to gates & bars but by law they CAN NOT be locked,forgot where I read that but it is true

I'll sign a petition but it may not get us anywhere, the only thing we might be able to do as a club is ask for permission to run these that you found were closed... were they locked?????, but I'm not any good on the political side of things but showing that we are a responcible jeep club we may have a chance seeins as we go by tread lightly guide lines & we could also show them by doing a trail clean up

again these roads are legal to ride on that we use I'm not sure on the ones you found

The one this morning that was gated goes by the name of "Halls Village Road" in Derry, NH. It's still a road, or at least it's marked on google as being such. Take a look on google maps. The worst part is that the other end of the road is open , which I know for a fact because I was there about 5 weeks ago...and it was definitley a state installed gate, because it was the same as the ones on the RxR beds behind my house.

so it has a lock then ???? also is it listed as a classVI road or just a road in general

The gate was locked (lock bolted on with a 3/4" nut *same size as a lug wrench ), and google just shows it as a road. There's no other information about it-just a road.

that maybe why it was locked ??? if it's just a road you could go to your town office & find out if it's listed as a class VI road & also find out of any in the area,if you do let me know how ya make out
