Just got back from a ride along Rt22 near Brewster. Found a "New" dirt road I hadn't seen before so I hit it (had NO "No Trespassing", "Do Not Enter" or other negative signage). Followed it past some construction equip that said "City of Yonkers"!?! Along the reservoir. Turned out they are building some new reservoir add-ons but boy is this place a blast during the weekend. 2-3 foot deep puddles, mud galore, all dirt so nothing to rip up, hills up and down and since they were cut to get the heavy construction equipment in and out they were nice and packed down and wide. Musta ridden around for about 45 mins and came out coated w/mud!

Posted a couple of pics on Pg 7 of my Cardomain site.

I was kinda worried that someone would call the police but as I said, no negative signage (and besides I had my DHS ID  ) and once you are in no one can see you.

Ooooh, good idea. I should carry my Department of Transportation badge around when I wheel just in case :-)

Where's the thread? I'm interested.

As far as the reservoir area, last time I went up they had posted signs so that one's out (Brewster).

Damm this Sux

seems like DEC and parks are closing everything down.
What is the deal man.
There is no place in my are to go wheeling any more. I took off work yesterday to scour Harriman state parks area and around west point. Every thing is closed. I even went though all the side roads along rt 9 across the bear mountain bridge and rt 9g. I can not find anything good. I only found 2 dirt roads that were long, but had homes on them. South moutain pass and old albany rd.

Hey how's it going. I live over in that area, and used to ride dirt bikes/ATV's, but that entire area is off limits bug time. You might get away with a warning, I used my Mil ID, but you'll run the chance of having your KJ impounded. Especially the Yonker's cops, they really don't stand for it. Also there is much more police activity in that area, due to a couple of deaths that turned out to be very questionable, so just be careful is you wheel in that area. Ciao, Stever71
