I'm heading to The Pine Barrens this Sat (4/5) if anyone is interested in joining. I have a pretty much stock Liberty and I'll have another friend with me in my jeep. The only tools we'll have are a 30' tow strap, a 25' cable "come-a-long" (it's a hand held winch,) a shovel and a few other items.

The goal is to get to the Wharton St. Forest some time around 10:30 and I'll have to leave around 3:30. I also have no idea where the trails are and the last time I went we just winged it and still had a blast (2 Jeeps for that one.) If anyone wants to join just let me know, if you know the trails that's even better. Our mission is to find the big sand pit that is somewhere in the Pine Barrens. If you know where that is please tell me how to get there.

I’m not sure if the 1st link will work but the 2nd will and both will give you a good idea of what the Pine Barrens are all about in terms of off-roading. You’d love it. They are located in Southern NJ.

And Happy birthday!

I figured I would post this double post / link to the Mid-Atlantic post to try and drum up some more interest. It's going to be a fun time! beepbeepjeepjeep is going to make it and jerseykj is going to try to make it in the afternoon. The more the merrier :D

It sure looks like you guys had so fun down there. I hope next time I can make it. How long did it take you to get there once you got over into NJ?
