Last trip to the beach for 2010?

Post subject:  Last trip to the beach for 2010?
I didn’t get out nearly enough this year, I think maybe 4 trips and not a single fish. There’s a slight chance that I might be able to make a trip to Robert Moses this Sat (12/11) some time in the morning. It’s a bit crazy, but if it’s clear I might try to catch the sunrise with a cigar.

I’ll update this post if I can make it but I just wanted to throw it out there.

I won’t know until later tonight but right now I’m about 50/50. If I do make I do have a few extra cigars I'll bring however, I just found out that my humidor has a crack in the glass lid so there’s a good chance the cigars are going to suck. :evil:

So it turns out I am working tomorrow. If you guys actually head out I may meet up beforehand, I would have to leave the beach by 11am or so.

If I do go I’m planning on getting there around 6:30 AM to catch the sunrise. I’m going to the Robert Moses 4x4 beach access road and rather than wait for people there I’m just going to deflate the tires and head out to the point so we can meet up on the beach. If that area is closed I’ll be at the end of the rock wall. If the access to Robert Moses is closed all together than I’ll head back to Gilgo Beach. I’ve got a Blue ’04.

Gonna make a game time decision when I wake up but if I make it tomorrow I won’t get out there until around 10.

LIKJ, sorry I missed ya. I made it but didn’t get out there until around 11 and headed home around 1. Great day indeed but due to all the running around this morning I ended up forgetting the cigars! As well as my chair and rod holder but those were less important. And while I only made a couple of casts I didn’t catch anything.
When I aired back up I almost crapped my pants when a fox sneaked up behind me. People must be feeding it b/c it was way too tame, I’ve never seen a fox that didn’t want to get any closer than it needed to be, this guy practically took the gum from my pocket! It’s really a shame that people don’t realize the effects they have on animals when they feed them. Hopefully it’ll make it through the winter.

It really early to bring this up but when the new passes go on sale we should try to do a group meet up.

Myself and the guys headed out this morning and we actually saw the fox when we were airing down. He was a cute little bugger. He was 5 feet away from me when.

Then on the way into demo we saw him running in front of us with a pheasant in his mouth.

Technically it is ATF+4, but it is for the Power Steering.
