Post subject:  It takes a village to raise a KJ (advice wanted)

I found a spacer lift in the for sale by LOST members http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... php?t=9493 . I'm running a stock rig right now with 235s. This kit seems like an economical way to gain some lift. Of course I'd like to Frankenlift but that just isn't going to happen, wish in one hand ... you get the picture.

My question to my 4 wheelin' neighbors is "Is this worth it?"

Is this all I need?

I'd love to buy everything new but this is a cost prohibitive hobby as you all know. All of your input is welcome.

If you get the lift, I suggest upgrading the shocks and struts too. Just making that change makes for a much better ride. You're going to have stuff apart anyway...

I've got a used Daystar lift on my KJ right now until I Frankenlift it. It has served me very well!

So do I smell a meet and greet/mod party?

I have 4 Daystar 2.5" pucks you can have. You'll need the top plate and shocks and you're lifted. Served me well for a year. Only condition is that once you graduate to an Flift the pucks go for free to another NorCal or West member.

But if I were to recommend first things I'd say tranny skid and boulder bars.

FWIW, I'll have an All J Super Skid for sale soon. Thinking in the $150 range right now. Also a factory gas tank skid, transfer case skid, front engine/suspension skid too.

So on top of what this guy is selling I would need bigger shocks and struts? Can anyone shoot me a part number or a Web page so I can price out what I need?

To Matt- I'm definetly working on the armor and bars as well-this just seemed like a really good deal to me.

Call Quinn at boulderbars.com and check out the prices on the RSX shocks. He'll be able to ship you the top plates also. Best prices, just tell him LOST NorCal sent yah.
