The Fall Quarterly for SWFWDA will be at the YO Ranch just north of Kerrville this year. Here is a link to the flyer: http://www.yoranch.net/06wheelinflyerf.jpg It might be a good place for a LoneStar KJ Club get together. Just a thought.

Some copied information from the Austin Jeep Exclusive website ( the host for this event) on the particulars:

SWFWDA Fall Quarterly Meeting Sep 28 - Oct 1 2006 at the YO Ranch in Mt. Home Texas

Link to the event flyer.

I understand it's a nice place to wheel but over $100 ($80 for myself + $15 for my wife + $lodging) is a bit redicuolus.

hunt around for big event like it. they all cost about the same. and the SWFWD is much cheeper than a YO event or a Jeep Jambo. if you go to any event you going to pay around $100 or more, and most places your not going to have a pool and other niceates(sp) that the YO Ranch has to offer.

I know when you look up on K rocks page and see 40 a person (hum that 80 for two) it looks much better but at an event you paying for all you food all you wheelin and the ranch. all you got to pay extra is you Gas.

Also if the wife gets board of jeepin there is shoping in Kerrville and the ranch wild life tour.

Texas is a private property state you allways going to have to pay to play.

I agree Sara. Jeep Jambos anywhere in the country go for about $200 per person!

I posted about the San Antonio Jeep Exclusive run out at the YO earlier this year, and the price was only $35/truck + $10/passenger, and nobody on here was willing to pay that either. I'm not so sure that price is the issue.

I think that $100 for a whole weekend of wheelin' on a beautiful piece of property like the YO is more than worth it. Who knows, maybe I won't be the only KJ out there next time.

I was up for the SAJE run, but I had Reserves duty.

I'd love to go to this, but I just don't have the cash.
