| Post subject: | Waco Lift Install Party!!! (and meeting) |
Hey everyone! I've been discussing with KJTX about my ambitions for my KJ and he's offerred to help me out with my Lift. Anyone else that is interested and wants to help, hang out, or work on theirs is welcome! We're currently planning for Saturday, February 11, 2006, and it'll probably in or around the Houston area. If you are interested, or have any ideas/input please let us know! FYI: I'm new to the Forum here so most don't know me, yet, but I've been lurking around for a while now. The wealth of information available here is amazing and has been extremely helpful. Thanks to all who participate here! Proud Liberty Owner in Houston, Brandon |

Where is yet to be determined. RaeRae1616 doesn't have a driveway, meaning we'd have to use the street or a parking lot, neither of which is ideal. So, is there anyone else is Houston that would like to join us and wouldn't mind offering the use of their driveway? It would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

| Post subject: | Lift Party Location - Help? |
I did some checking this weekend, and I dont' have access to anywhere (other than a school/mall parking lot) that would facilitate the "Party" should some guys wanna join us. So, yeah, if anyone else has a location that we could use, it would be greatly Appreciated!!! Anyone have any ideas? |

If y'all wanted to drive here, I have access to a shop with a lift that we could probably use. Just an idea. |

He's in West, TX (the city is named West). It's about 20 minutes north of Waco on I-35. that lift came in real handy when I helped him install his lift. |

I think it is worth the drive for the lift RaeRae. I did mine in my brothers driveway with a floor jack. A lift would have made it a lot eaiser. |

Adding a meeting to the day is a great idea. The shop is actually in Waco, so there's plenty of places to eat. RaeRae- If you want to use the lift, let us kow pretty quick. I'll call Edwin and let him know so he can go ahead and "reserve" the lift. |

Yeah, I'm definitely interested in using the Lift . . . whatever will make things easier and to do things properly. I just talked with my roommate and his Uncle lives in Waco, TX. So that could work out just fine for us to come up on Friday night and crash there and meet up on Saturday. I don't mind driving at all . . . Question: Will driving ~200 miles after installing the lift be a big deal since an alignment is needed after the installation? I'll be verifying that we can crash with his Uncle so go ahead with those plans if it works out. And, it'd be great to meet some other folks from around there if ya'll arrange a meeting . . . |

I still have to make sure we can use the lift. I'll try and check on that today. Unless your alignment is out of whack to start with, you probably won't need to do anything to it but set the toe. We can get it dern close. Driving 200 miles will not be a problem. |

We could use the top level of my parking garage. Noone ever parks up there and you have plenty of light. Either way, count me in as another helping hand with tools. |

Excellent!!! I've got my Frankenlift on the way, so I should be ready to go . . . What about tools, equipment, etc... I don't have much in the way of auto tools (all home improvement type tools) but do we need to get a list going to make sure we have all that we need? Brandon |
