I need to see if someone knows how to resize an image without the extra blank space? Tried in Paint and dabbled a bit in photoshop. Any ideas? Would like to learn how to do it.. Thanks |

What do you mean by blank space? Do you mean bars? You need to "Crop" it to eliminate any bars. Or are you referring to how to implement a transparent color? Show me the pic and tell me what you want, I (unless someone else beats me to the punch) can help you out. |

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_im ... 2_full.jpg The blank space I was talking about is trying to resize in Paint. I know, Paint is useless, but all I have at work. And I don't have anything here at work that will crop. And using the current size - looks huge in forum avatar side. May jack with it at home later. No biggie. |

Google Picassa both have ups and downs, but have great functionality and are 100% Free. XnView is a bit more powerful for Power Users (Scriptable, batch functionality, etc.). Google Picassa is a little easier to use with a pretty interface and some kewl picture effects. |

That's weird, when I save the pic you fixed, and upload to cardomain, then post the url to the avatar in profile = it still shows up huge. It's not the same pixel size as the the one you did. Tried like 10 times - same thing.......hmmmmmmmmmm |

Make sure you can access the correct picture in car domain directly . . . by pasting the link into your browswers address bar. And, if the correct picture is displayed there then you should be good to go; double check the picture properties for the pixel size just to be sure because some browsers do dynamic sizing when loading a picture directly and not via a web page with html. Not sure if Car Domain does anything funny with their links/pictures updloaded... but it may goof up if the link is actually to a dynamic script of some sort as opposed to the picture directly sitting out on a server. |
