Post subject:  Life Update

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have enlisted in the Army and ship out June 1 for Fort Benning. After that, I'm not sure where I'll be stationed.

I'll still be around from time to time and do plan on keeping the Liberty. I just won't be able to make any events for awhile.

Anyway, just wanted to let y'all know.

I will be in the Airborne Infantry. And I chose the Army because that is what I wanted and always have.

Good answer bud, I've spent my time with several Army units. I just had to ask that question Because I'm retired Air Force

I know this sounds STUPID, but start doing some neck exercises, squats, and reverse situps (roman chair) before you go to jump school. Those particular muscles are overlooked but can help prevent injury on (normal) inpact.

Post your jump pics when you get them.

I hope to see you move to DELTA in a few years brother. Good luck.

Good Luck man... It's always good to see more people joining up and helping us defend our country. Just remember that at first, nothing you do is going to be correct so you're going to have to take everything with a grain of salt. Stay Motivated and keep your mouth shut. That's the key to being in the military. There's a time to talk and a time to just shut up and do as you're told. It'll be hard, but you'll eventually learn to love the way of life. Believe you me... By the end of boot camp you will learn to love the simple things in life... Like phone calls to family, Music, and real food ;)

Being an ex-Navy Corpsman, I can agree with what was said before. I knew Marines (Camp Pendleton and Camp Lejuene) who were so brainwashed after boot camp, they believed they were nothing without the Marines. You need to maintain your personality and your identity.
While I was in, I hated it. There were some things that were cool, but it wasn't for me. I did my 4 years and got out. Now that I look back, I miss it and feel honored to be a part of that long standing tradition and heritage.

Good luck to you. And thank you for taking a place alongside all those who have come before you, to defend what we all take for granted, for what we all hold so dear, and for taking a post to defend us all. God Bless!
