we spent a lot of time comparing maps to the one you posted last year. one of our goals was to find that house, which we did. we did have some other trails we found on the DBNF website that we weren't able to get to, so we will be making a return trip explore further.

from what I have read on some other forums it seems that first road we went down that was partly stoned is now stoned all the way to the end, rest is all off limits, ( the loop up over the cave area) Could be wrong, but have been talking to a coupls of guys on another forum and from the way he was explining the road its seems like it is closed for now??????

we did not check that out this time around. the last time we were there, most of the trails behind the 49er were graveled. we didn't get vary far before the trail was blocked by trees that looked to be intensionally dropped to block the trail. that's when we decided to make another trip armed with maps.

No, thats not the creek you all turned around at jerbacher. It was a lot wider and deeper. Last time I was there it was flooded pretty bad too.

It's in Kentucky kind of around the Livingston area, near Daniel Boone National Forest, but I dont think its in the natl forest.
