Camp Jeep 2006 - Elkhart Lake, WI - Aug 10-12, 2006

I plan on attending Camp Jeep too. The first time I went was last year in PA and I had a blast. Last year my sister and I went (her birthday present to me) and this year the wife and I agreed to make it a vacation. We're staying at the Osthoff Resort from Wednesday night to Sunday morning. Hope to see you all at Camp Jeep!

I'd like to hear what trails everyone's registered for once they post those on the site. Maybe we could all take a trail together.

Is there anyone else going to Camp jeep that hasn't registered?

I found this on the website.

"If you refer 4 friends or more and they attend the event, everyone will receive a $50 refund in the mail after the event."

I haven't registered yet and would like to save the $50. I need three more people to register.

That would bring the price down to $295. Anyone interested?

I will be trail guiding as will a few others from the local area. Hopefully we'll cross paths during the day, but for sure lets make plans to do so after the trail runs in the evening.

I would like to call Friday our get together day if that suits everyone. Thursday we will all probably be tired, and Saturday is the concert and celebration.

Friday lets all try to go out to dinner in Sheboygan somewhere, to later be determined.

I was just wondering if it was worth the cash to attend Camp Jeep? I figured by the time I add in gas and the hotel...it's like $600-$800 That would get me a hitch, cb, and tranny skid! But, Im sure it would be cool to spend some time with other jeepsters and meet some new people. I would have to go alone because my gf will have to watch the dog. I don't want to be the creepy "alone" guy! I hope I don't sound too negative- I just need help deciding.

A bunch of us are trail guiding, but a couple have attended past events and LOVED it, even with the drive from IL to VA (Thats where it was held previously)

Don't be afraid of being the "alone" guy. I don't think it'll be an issue. Also, they have a 75 gas card that will be given to each attendee to help soften the blow of fuel. (We don't get the card as guides, dagnabbit!)

CornFed, I have to say that it's extremely fun to attend Camp Jeep. My first time was last year when it was held in the Poconos. That was also my first time offroad with my Jeep and the whole experience more than met my expectations. The event has more than just trails too. It has mountain biking, geocaching, engineering roundtables, kareoke (sp?), WWII planes in an air show, and many other things. There's also an incredible fireworks show after the concert.
