I unfortunately cannot go on this trip, I went camping last weekend with some friends which used my monthly escape-for-the-weekend-pass. I just wanted to chime in on the fall colors though, I was in the Northwoods on the border by the Upper Penninsula and the coloration was terrific. I was very impressed. Fall's coloration and leaves turning color has very little to do with temperature, however, and actually has to do with the length of time that the sun is down per night. Not length of day or temperature but length of night. Just thought I would help clear that up for MNKK.

The sumack has started to change a little bit, but the weather was 82 degrees today. Not very good. You should put this off for a couple of weeks longer. Maybe mid October.
Plus, the outcome of people might get larger. Or not...
