Voted for Coal Creek only from what I have heard and also accessiblility for people getting there.

moose harlan, ky or windrock in oakridge,tenn. would both be real good for a group like your talking about. to be honest i think tellico is great but there is not 2 days of riding for a group that's not built pretty good. i will at the mb meeting on the 18th if you would like give me a call i will give you a list of trails they can run and have a real good trail ride.

I think Coal Creek for sure from what I have seen on line, plenty of roads just to cruise on and some trails for newbies and unlifted ones as well.

as far as requirements

Tow Hooks without a doubt front and rear, no exceptions
Skids, tough call maybe could put that it would be adviseable to have them but not required on the EASY trails
Tow Straps, no hooks/ chains

I've done parts of Tellico in my Liberty (#6, 4, 5). It's a challenge but doable with lift and skids. Some of the trails are closed but they were a bit beyond a KJ anyway. (I now also have a JK Rubi on 35s so anywhere works for me).

Looks like we are fairly divided between Coal Creek and Tellico. I guess my concern with Tellico is the lack of support for "stock" vehicles. The only requirement I think is a MUST is tow points, but I can invision getting lots of unlifted KJ's with or without skids. From what I saw on the web, it just looks like Tellico wouldn't have as much for that crowd. Most of the stuff at Tellico would "hurt" for stockers. There would be a lot banging, scraping and strapping.

And if you break something because of lack of skids, I'll tow you out, but don't cry about it. Also, a few straps per group is enough (I know, I think everyone should carry one too, but...)

Tow hooks front & rear. Spare tire. I voted Harlen after talking to some folks who had been to both. Again, for the same reasons listed. I'd like this to happen & for the stock & near stock folks to enjoy it so that they would do it again the next year.

If Windrock/Coal Creek OHV ends up being the choice, this was the only source that I could find that had trail maps online: http://www.southernjeeps.org/trails/win ... ndrock.htm If this is the final choice, someone should contact the Atomic City 4WD Club to get their input and sollicit their support (maybe help organize groups, act as trail guides, etc.) if they are willing.
