Im from Fort Wayne and there dont seem to be any places to leave the gravel around here. And there also dont seem to be any other KJ people here interested in leaving the asphault much less the gravel.

Im looking forward to meeting up with you guys if i can make it.

I am from Fort Wayne, now living in Vincennes, but always going back to visit family like once a month. I believe I had the first lifted KJ in Fort Wayne two years ago. You should come down to Muncie for our Indiana M&G!!! Its nice to know that there is another KJer up in that neck of the woods.

Unfortunalty I will be up in Michigan in July (riding the dunes) so if thats when the summer Badlands trip is I won't make it :( I think I might try to hit the Badlands and do some camping in June.

I see that Flags are required. Where can i get one? Or is the best deal to just buy from them?

Also i see that they require battery tie down..

Is this above and beyond the stock tie down?

finally.

My suspension is stock.. am i wasting my time coming to the badlands?

thanks for feed back.

Stockers are fine. Its would be good to have skid plates!
As far as flags go you can go as cheap as getting a bicycle flag and lashing it to your rear tire. And I have never had anything other than stock on my battery, so......I don't know?

cool, im relieved.. Thats a bit of a drive to find out that my stock suspension gets me into the parking lot and onto the grass only lol.

I think i will try to make the M&G.

Ive considered getting armor but for a 99% daily driver the investment ( even getting discounted mopar ) is a bit steep.

I bought one of Badlands flags for $20... maybe a little steep but it is pretty nice.
I didn't sweat the battery tie down.
My JK is stock and it faired just fine as long as I didn't try to tackle the really tough stuff. I have some of the OEM underarmor and it stood up well enough but I did relocate the evap canister because it was the same price to protect it as to relocate it.

Would love to see you there!

My first choice for an upgrade would be skids. I have been saying this for years and still ignored my own advice and did the lift/tires thang first. When I finally got around to putting my skids on, we found signs of a very hard whack to the front diff. that a skid would have prevented. (yes, the skid I had still in the box from my 3/08 purchase  ) My lifted KJ is not as lifted as some others, but I used my Mopar skids to good advantage just this weekend and they worked great. All 4 skids can be had for about $250 from your local dealer if you talk them into the "jobber" price that the online sites give you. And no shipping costs! :2cents:

Now I need marker light skid plates..... :ROTFL:

I picked up a Bell bike flag at wallyworld and it even has a bracket on it that will work on my spare tire mount..

Im working on getting the skids.. though im not 100% sure if ill have it in time for this Badlands run..

well see.

Im not sure that my local jeep dealer will give me any deal on parts, seeing that they normally sell what few parts i get from them for about 50% more than internet prices..

Luckily jparts does free shipping when you order all of the parts at once. and i spoke with him. he said if i call when im ready to buy he can get me a better deal than listed internet prices ( found this out after originaly asking if there were any other cheaper places)

Im really thinking that Wyckoff and Jparts are THE places to get parts for mopar..
