If you are headed west on I-70 you'll take the Morrison exit. At the end of the ramp there are a few parking lots where people meet up before heading out. There will most likely be other 4X4 groups out there and keep in mind that there are parking lots on both sides of the highway. Just make sure you look around if you don't see us right away (there will be quite a few folks at these lots).

A few thoughts on the trail...I read about North Supply Creek on traildamage and there didn't seem to be any points of interest, amazing views, or tough obstacles mentioned. All they said was the trail had some loose rock and there are quite a few spur roads. Its a heck of a drive to get out there so I'm thinking maybe something around Idaho Springs would be better. Besides, we should really wait for Pete to get back before we try N. Supply Creek again - it was his brilliant idea afterall.

OK, Idaho Springs sounds fine to me.

You wouldn't happen to know the exit or how far west of denver?

No No No.

We will meet at the Morrison exit from I-70. If you come up I-25 from Springs, take C-470 West and then take the I-70 West exit. In about 2 miles and you will see the Morrison exit. We will meet there and drive up to the Idaho Springs area.

9:00am Saturday, 13 August 2005 Morrison Exit Park and Ride parking lots Look for the KJ's

So N. Supply Creek wasn't such a good idea last time. I guess the first hints shold have been the snow and the "bridge". At least we found out that TokyoJoe is good at recovery. :-)r

I think you can just take 93 south to I-70. The parking lots are at the bottom of the on ramp for 70.

I believe it is exit 259 on I-70.

1. From Boulder take 93 to Golden.
2. 93 turns into 6. Don't take the right turn on 6. *Rte 58 is to the left and Rte 6 goes right and straight. Stay straight.
3. Take I-70 West
4. Turn off on the Morrison exit (should be exit 259).
5. The parking lot across from the off-ramp's stop light is where we should be unless it is already full. Then we will try the one across from it (on the right of the stop light). There are two more on the other side of I-70 (last resort if the first two are full).

David - PM me your email address. I have quite a few flex shots of your rig.

Quivvy, yeah....what's the word on the power steering?

You missed some awesome water spots. If it hadn't been cloudy all around us, I would've gotten some great shots that would've easily won the Rig of the Month-Water contest.

You guys need to post those pics somewhere on the web. If I can't make the run, I love seeing what I missed (it helps keep me motivated and helps convince the wife we need to go more  ).

For the record: My wife likes to go 'wheeling as much as I do, I just like to give her a hard time because she makes me stick to a budget.

Thank God for wives and their budgeting! If I didn't have her I'd be in bankrupcty right now. The upside is I would have one killer KJ!!!

Pete, I'll try to get some pics up later. I'm going to go take my boulder bars off and repaint!

Well, the water shot shows absolutely no part of your KJ. The water spalshed up so high, you can't see your KJ. The clouds didn't help the picture either.

I'll send it to you and post some on here.
