hey y'all, Picked up a Lib for two reasons. One, to get out of dodge when the next hurricane blows through, and two, make a run this summer from Canejo Valley (Platoro, Antonito, etc...) up through Lake City, and then Cinnamon pass to Ouray and Imogene to Silverton. It will be me and an XJ. My Lib is still pretty well stock (I'm getting rid of the Wranglers next week for Revo's). My question is about how well my stocker will do on these trails. I feel pretty confident that the canejo stuff will be alright (I did most of that last year in the XJ), but I have never done Cinnamon or Imogene. I plan to put skid plates, bull bars and nerf bars eventually, but try and find a cheap mechanic in New Orleans and you'll end up old and frustrated. Thanks for the great site |

I did Engineer and Ophr passes last month in a stock (skid plates only) Liberty. I understand Cinnamon is similar. According to this site: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php It looks like Imogene would be OK for you. |

Some friendly advice if you plan to do alot of off-roading that may include a lot of rocks, there are a few places you might want to look at for some of the parts you plan to get. You might want to look at rock sliders instead of nerf bars and you want to look at some very sturdy skids. Try these places: www.rocklizardfabrications.com www.boulderbars.com www.carolinarockshop.com There are quite a few other places that sell some good stuff but these are the ones that come to mind. |
