| Post subject: | Run on Sunday Afternoon w/ Bob from DC |
OK, the other thread was a bit long, so here is a rehash on this. Bob has some stuff he wants to show us and get our club's feedback on. He wants to do this on a trail run instead of at a restaurant due to public eyes and ears. (yea, like we are not going to talk anyway) He will be free after about 2:30 on Sunday. We want to do a trail ride fairly close to Denver and is not too hard for stockers, and will allow time for us to gather and talk about his stuff. I would say if you have folding chairs bring them. One trail that was suggested was Slaughterhouse Gulch Meet at the Safeway in Conifer http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=2 About 40 minutes from Downtown Denver I remember this trail after reading the report on Trail Damage, if I remember, Kruegelager was still stock on this one, and did fine. Or Bill Moore Lake Meet at the Starbucks in Downieville http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=12 About 46 minutes from Downtown Denver on 70 This trail is shorter, but I do not think I have done it so I do not know how it is currently. According to the Trail damage report, it sounds like a nice scenic trail good for stock vehicles and a few challenges for those of us who require/ I mean want to try them... My vote is for Bill Moore Lake, as I have not done it yet, and I think the Lake would be a good back drop for our meeting. It would also allow Bob a good view of the Colorado scenery (He does photography on the side) This also would be able to get max participation as it is shorter and would allow an earlier return for those of you that have to work Monday. I would say for either trail, the meet time would be around 3:15/3:30 time frame. Also for those who do not have to work Monday and would like to do an EARLY (be at the base of old stage rd by 8:30/9 at the latest) run up Eagle Rock Bob, Marty and I are planning a run of Eagle Rock or Saran Wrap. Reason for the early time is Bob has to be on the road back to Denver by 11:30/12:00 noon at the latest, but he wants to see the scenery. So sign in for your vote only if you plan to show up for the Sunday run. I want max participation for this. If you plan to attend Monday, PM or call me. Ted |

I'm in for Bill Moore ( I did it last time we went). We had a stock CRD do it. Starbucks at 3:15pm is good for me. (For those unsure, Starbucks is a little past/west of Idaho Springs. |

Where ever we go, I'll be there. Just give me a heads up if there are any changes in time to get everything packed and make the drive from the south side of the Springs. |

I might be able to bring a couple of other KJs from Fort Carson. I know that TJKJ was planning on making this but I don't know where he stands yet (signed in etc) and I found another guy that is fairly excited about joining up with us. I'll give them both a call later this afternoon to see what they think. Marty, if they do decide to make it, I'm sure there will be enough seats for you to ride along if your junk isn't back together. I wish I could offer you some assitance getting it put back together but I have 4 chapters of homework, 4 qizzes, 3 article reviews, and a final to do on Saturday so I can go on this. |

I'd go but I am about to get the Lib looked at by John Elway Jeep, this coming Thursday, in Littleton. The front wheels still slip out of power, so I lose my 4x4 at anytime. I haven't done much offroading since Marty pointed this out (I have no idea how I made it through all of Eagle Rock to begin with). In short, I don't want to push it with a 4x2 rig. I still might roll up there if I can get a ride from someone? |

My buddy just got his shackle lift for his Grand Wagoneer (3" $30!), and I'd told him I'd help with the install, which we're doing Sunday when we both have off. Sorry guys! I'm know you will represent!!! |

Do the lift in the AM, then do som mild testing on the waggy with us!!! Perfect reason to go out. Shackle lifts are easy!! What you think you not welcome because it is a waggy?! We let Marty run his xj! |
