Post subject:  Just wondering..............

Well I'm waiting on parts to do a major front end overhaul(new clips for cv's,lower control arms) and wondering if anybody local would like to help?No pressure though, just thought some poeple would like to know how to rip the front end apart and such.I don't want to drive to far so I don't ruin anything more then it is,I'll have all the tools necessary to.So if someone with a garage and some more poeple are interested learning how to rip the front end apart let me know,by the way I was thinking about doing it the 24rd-25th of this month(all parts should be hear by then)If parts get here by this coming weekend(17th-18th) will do it then.If no takers I'll do it at the base hobby shop here at Carson.

Well, we were talking about this for last month, and now we have a subject to operate on. So will the weekend of the 24th work for a front end rebuild work shop?

We also need to get together to collect the dues for this year, as in the by-laws, Jan was renewal month  postponed to snow though I guess :?

I'd be up for it, atleast to watch, and provide a heater.:D I might be able to provide the shop space if your jeep will fit in the garage with your roof rack, and if I get some help moving these full width axles out of the way.

I'm up for it as long as Jen is up for my being gone for the day (pregnancy difficulties). I would volunteer my garage but my hoopdie is going to be torn apart at that time.

Troy, this may be easier if we do it at one of the Auto hobby shops. I will check the rules on helpers at the USAFA one if you will check on the one at Carson. The vehicle should not be an issue, as you are mil, just the number of helpers. USAFA will be easier to get the civilians on, but I have never been to Carson's, and I do not know how long it would take to sponsor every one on. USAFA is an open tourist attraction again now between 08 and 1800. If this sounds good to you, I will check USAFA auto hobby tomorrow. This way we will have a lift and heat...

Ted

Gee go figure... guess where I am

Could also be a good time to do a rear diff cover change along with diff fluid change......hint hint. Actaully, I want to get mine painted before installing. Hmmmm........Galvinize it. Just as I have been talking about it so much over the last year. I wonder how that holds up to hot diff fluid on the inside. Shouldn't be an issue. I would think. Would look interesting on the outside. Can also paint it after galvinizing.

So, I wouldn't be doing a diff cover change yet.

I'd like to come, lend a hand, and meet some of you- and it would be a good excuse to buy some stuff from Rock Lizard.

That's good cause the auto place here doesn't like big crowds around 1 vehicle. When and where does everyone want meet? Just a reminder my parts may not be here on time(place messed up and they should be hear on time but that could change)but in anycase still can meet everyone.Earlier the better but can work it for anybody that want's to come.

Rock Lizard
TokyoJoe
