Hey, guys, those of you that have a consistant work schedule, can you email that to me: martin@rocklizardfabrications.com

I'm going to start working on a trail run schedule here in a few weeks once things slow down, and I will use these schedules to find out what days during the week most individuals have off. Maybe we can get better turn outs for trail runs this way. Or we can just stick with the Saturday and Sunday runs if that works best for everyone. What do you guys think? If we do the weekend runs like last year, I'm still thinking we make a trail run on the second weekend and fourth weekend of each month. The first run of the month would be something challenging, and the second run a little more simple and scenic and have our club meeting at that same time.

And, should we go ahead and get a list going of all the trails we would like to run this year? We ran some great trails last year, so we could do some more of those again, and some new trails. Check out www.traildamage.com and look through those trails to see if any of those interest you. I would like to get the May runs scheduled here in the next two weeks, so any suggestions for May? Keep in mind a lot of the trails are still closed or pretty soupy.

If you are a newer member that didn't run any trails with us last year, please post your rig specs, or put them in your sig, so we have a good idea what trails your rig can handle. Most of the trails we ran last year are ok for most rigs, as long as you have tow points and skids at a bare minimum, and rocker guards highly suggested of course. You should have skids and tow points for any trail anyways, but lift and meaty tires not always required, you'll just bounce of a few more rocks than the rest of us. :twisted: We made it through all of last year without any breakages on the trail, atleast nothing that hung us up on a trail doing repairs, and very little body damage. So, let's get through this year without any major trail damage.

sweeet.....well I do know my work schedule is 100% solid now at Sunday - Thursday with Friday and Saturdays being the off days.

This week has been very productive for me.....Bought 5 Moabs with MTR's and Installed all my skid plates.

Mods are
2" Lift
skids
mtrs

I figured I would use the stock rock rails for bit and see how they did. Also....i am kind of new to this whole off roading thing so any info that can taught to me I would love. :D

I'd be interested in going even though I am not from CO. My schedule is my own for the most part. I fly into Colorado Springs and Denver about every 30 days so going to meetings should not be a big problem. I drive up to Kalispell, MT every 90 days which is a longer drive than many destinations in CO from SLC I would think.

Boosted, you're off to a good start. The stock rails should hold up for about two runs. :twisted:

JL, if we do the weekend runs like last year, maybe you can schedule something in advance, knowing we run on the second and fourth weekends, you just won't know what trail we are doing until atleast two weeks in advanced. There are quite a few of us in Colorado Springs, so if you just want to ride shotgun, one of us would be more than happy to pick you up and bring you along for the ride. We have a great time everytime we go, so it's definately worth coming along, even if you don't have your jeep.

My schedule is so messed up right now that I may hit Moab, 1 or 2 other runs and that's it until August '08. However, if I have any days off they will most likely be on the weekends.

Boosted, I used to have the same rails you have and they saved my rocker panels a couple of times. That said, you want to replace them as soon as your wallet will allow because you can't slide on them and if you catch something really good, they can bend up into you rocker panels or rip out of the under side of your KJ.

Marty, the soonest I will be able to do a conservation run will be the end of June.

Saturdays and sundays are my off days,but that is subjected to 24 duty.Probally going to get hecktic around july due to getting ready for redeployment.Any trail is good for me,looking forward to doing Chimamans Gultch again(that was a really fun trail).
    ***UPDATE*** Well just found out today that we have red cycle(working 7 days a week again) come may till october,so looks like my summer is shot :evil: ,maybe I'll not be on it the whole time.At least I get to go to MOAB.

IS there really that much to do that it takes all of you everyday? This seems a bit abusive, and I think the Command Seargent Major should take better care of his enlisted people... That is his job isn't it? That is the Command Chief's job in the AF anyway.

It's the post command seargent major doing it to us,somehow my brigade pissed him off so we(lower enlisted) get the rath of his punishment.As they say s&%t rolls downhill and I'm at the bottom.

I know with post clean-up and all the other crap it does take quite a bit of time. Troy, are you guys getting stuck with mowing the whole post? I got stuck with that before and it wasn't too bad but it took about 8 hours/day for about a month.

Fortunatly civilians do the mowing but we get stuck with the trash clean up and anything else the CSGM wants us to do.

I work shift work 12 hour days. I am off every other weekend. I am off this weekend, work next etc. I still need to get my skids installed and I have a set of rockers on order with Rock Lizard then I should be ready to go.

Hey gang, we should know within 3 weeks if we are indeed moving back to New Mexico. As I’ve mentioned before, we are gleaming with JOY as the probability is leaning in our direction. Due to distance, I know our direct involvement with the L.O.S.T. Rockies will be minimal, however we’d like to meet everyone and somehow make one of your trail runs. My wife’s NEW 2007 Liberty will not “yet” be qualified to hit the trails with you, but if one riding shotgun and one in the back seat is permissible, then we would greatfully take any of you up on the offer. I’m 160 lbs and my wife is somewhere around 128 lbs, so hopefully it wouldn’t be too much additional weight. It would be no problem if we had to ride in separate units to help distribute weight. We have done very little serious off-roading and would appreciate the tips and the good times.

Weight isn't going to be a factor when doing some wheeling here in CO and I'm sure that there are more than enough seats for you to do a ride-along. Keep in mind that we tend to have a fairly easy run (one a stock KJ could do) once/month.

My work schedule is pretty basic...M-F 8-5 or 6 or ? The weekend runs will work best for me, but I don't know how school will impact my ability to participate. I was expecting to be done June 30th, but it looks more like August 15th now. After that I get done with it, I plan to goof off (trails, fish, camp, etc) every weekend for a little while!!

Let me know when you want to start on the 05 front bumper. I know things have been crazy for you for a while now. No rush on my part. Just curious.
