| Post subject: | Rockies Officer Nominations |
Per the by-laws, the last full week of September is the nominations period for elections, and our elections will be the first full week of October. I will post nomination threads with brief descriptions of the positions' responsibilities. The club has gone dry, we are in a dead slump. If you know of someone who can resucitate our club or think you can, nominate yourself or your choice. In October, I will post election polls for the election. |

I think the biggest problem is that the most active wheeling members are either in Iraq, Jeep is out of comission or they are MIA...Marty is concentrating on his business... I am available to do runs on Sundays now as the house selling, house remodeling and our wedding/honeymoon are behind me. I was pretty much MIA for the last year due to all of that. That does not mean for people nominate me for something....I have more time but not as much as before having a family. I'll help with stuff when I can and even host things at my house on occasion, but as to having the time to be an officer I don't really have that time to focus on only one of my many interests. I have been sitting in on the last two Mile High Jeep Club meetings...heck they meet at Grange Hall which is only a mile from my house...would be stupid not to go. There are actually three guys with KJ's that wheel...none as built as mine but they run them nonetheless. http://www.mhjc.org/ John ];') |

If you guys would open it up to UT, I would become a paid member. Not much happening LOST wise in the state and you guys now, I'm not afraid to drive. I should be out there again sometime in 09. I learn the secret handshake and everything. Not to mention, I am a helluva good guy! No comments form the peanut gallery..... |

LOST Rockies-Colorado chapter. It was decided long ago that trying to have a working club with three huge states doesn't work. LOST Rockies, in the LOST forum, covers three states and is not a "club" or organized group. It is just a territory of the US put together for the forum. LOST Rockies-Colorado chapter is a separate entity. We tried many times to get New Mexico and Utah organized enough to be a 3-state club but it never worked out. |

I'm a LOST Rockies paid member and I live in KS. I was told that you can be a member without having to live in the State of Colorado. However, I think my dues are up???? Although, I have not seen a notice (due date)? |

The herd is thinning and I don't know if it's wise to not accept members because of geography. I do believe there is a rule that you can only go on X amount of official club runs as a guest. I have already used up all of my guest passes with you guys. Which means officially I would have to be a member if I want to go out with you guys anymore and officially, I can't be a member because I live in UT. Unless you want to give me a pass on that aspect of the club rule |

Either way, we can’t deny the heard is thin. In my opinion, you should have free membership just because you have a CRD and a pink shovel |
