Jason and James-good to see you can come out a play. Hopefully, there will be no snow. Brady-Not a problem but get moved in and lets wheel.

I' m still working on the final details. Shoe Creek is in two parts. I have only done the top section and not the bottom. I will have everything posted NLT this coming Monday. Here is a link to Crabtree Falls: http://www.crabtreefalls.com/ . We will either start in this area or end in this area but it does give you an idea of where we will be playing. There is a small general store that has gas pumps for you none diesel types.

Here is the game plan
6AM: Leave Virginia Beach from the Indian River Rd 7/11
7:45-8:00: Richmond Sheetz Stop (Broad St)
10:15: Arrive in Montebello. We will meet at the Country Store
http://www.montebellova.com/country_store.htm
(NOTE: There are gas pumps. Diesel???)
10:30: Depart for Shoe Creek. We will run Shoe Creek from the top to the bottom. The run will take 3 to 4 hours depending on how much playing everyone would like to do. After the run we will head to Lovingston for gas/diesel and if anyone would like a late lunch/early supper before heading home.

Also: If you all would like we can stop and see Crabtree Falls before we head to Shoe Creek. The entrance to Shoe Creek is only a couple of miles from the falls.

Dress warm the long range forecast is calling for a high of 24.

Yepper, same one. I figure this time John won't get lost and head to the wrong 7/11.

It turns out I will be off on Saturday, so I'm kinda interested. The thing is I checked the directions and it turns out it's a little over 4 hours drive for me. Would it really be worth my time (and gas) to go all the way down there? If I go, I might want to hook up with Jason and caravan down, so we can chat on the radio to relieve the boredom. So what do think, should I freeze my butt off and come down or should I wait till maybe you guys run this in warmer weather and plan to stay overnight?

If you decide to come down let me know. I will be heading down from Hagerstown. So we can meet up on 81. Like Strasburg exit or some where.

David, come on down. You do have a point. Sometime this year I would like to have camping/4 wheeling weekend. One weekend in GWNF and one weekend at Crabtree Falls.

KJ: The more the merrier.

The run will be interesting. A group from Va Beach went last weekend and there was some ice and snow. The group ran from the bottom up. We are going to try to run from the top to the bottom. If the conditions are slick we will rethink our plans and run from the bottom to the top. We are going to take our time.

OBTW: It is also a 4 hour trip for us Beach dwellers so I can feel your pain.

I'm with Richard. Last chance to ride at Paragon is calling me. We can plan another trip to shoe creek another day. Maybe some time in the spring we can go again. But this is the last weekend for Paragon. Unfortunately we will never get another chance to ride up there. Please forgive me guys.

I'm going to keep an eye on the weather and conditions, so I should know for sure by tomorrow.

Mike: I'll PM you some info if I can go so that we can meet up along the way.

James
