Post subject:  Warranty question

I just bought 2005 Liberty Renegade that is my first jeep, as I was previously a vintage VW guy. I went off road for my first time and have found a new love, off road. I am interested gettin lifted and throwing on some bigger tires, would doing this void my 100,000 mile warranty. Mind you I am an insurance adjuster and this is my daily driver. I have 3000 miles in 4 weeks. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Also any info on lift kits, etc...would be kind.

Thanks, Steve

They can only void the warantee if they can prove that the part was broken exactly due to the aftermarket part. Aka they cant blame the windows not working because of a suspension lift. Some info on lifts:

www.rustsoffroad.com
www.skyjacker.com
www.4wheelparts.com
www.rocky-road.com < Only get their Combo lift
www.roughcountry.com
www.boulderbars.com

Hope this helps a little.

Post subject:  Warranty/Dealer Issues

Richard is correct. However, each dealer will push the issue. When I lifted my KJ, both local dealers ran me over the coals with repair issues. One flat out stated that the lift voided the warranty.

I advise finding a local dealer who you feel you can trust and discuss it with them. Even if they say it voids the warranty, don't let that stop you. You have to lift - it's the law
