I posted this over in fabrication too, but you MA folks are my peeps, so you get a special post too!!

First project was a light bar to hold my ghetto eBay fog lights.

I used some 1.5 angle iron and 2" flat iron. Cut the flat iron to the shape of the "drop" in the early model bumpers and welded the angle iron across them. I used super-short (about 1" long) metal "hollow wall" anchors to hold it in place.

Then I got bored and decided to organize the cargo area. I built some storage boxes out of 1/2" particleboard to store all my crap and to house my air setup. I ran out of carpet, but it makes it easier to see the division and how it matches the split in the back seats. The hole that you see in the right-side box in the first picture is where the air compressor intake filter will protrude.

I also got the rebuild kit for the front today. So tomorrow the spare front diff I got last week goes in to get rebuilt with 4.10s and a Detroit TT. Unixxx measure the Dealer 4.10 pinion and I measure the one I got from Spicer/Dana through Reider Racing. They measure the same, which is giving me hope. we'll know soon enough how it turns out.

If the front goes ok, I'm going to drop the jeep off to swap gears and install the ARB in the back axle while it's still attached to the jeep, and have them install the front diff with the new gears. Wish me luck!

I also finished installing the compressor and tank. It's in the pictures above. I have disconnects for the locker and a pressure guage, and a plug for the electric, so I can remove the boxes semi-easily.

And the Mid-Atlantic bonus picture...

LIGHTS!!!

hope so. I dropped the spare front diff, the spicer gears, the DTT and the rebuild kit off at the shop today. Whenever he gets done with that, I'll give him the jeep to do the back. I'm not sure how long it's all going to take, but I don't want to wheel agian until I'm locked since I own all the stuff to make it happen.

I'm also hesitant about going without the sliders on and that probably won't be done for a little while more. I know me. Locked, I'm gonna want to do crazier stuff and I won't have the armor to handle it.

Nice set up you got. One question though. In the pic of the boxes in the back, it looks like your air bags have been deployed. Did you forget to pull the fuse for them before you started pulling the dash apart to put in the locker switch? Or is that something else?

They're cargo seat covers that my wife got me. Just like 6-pocket cargo pants!!

The backs each have 2 big pockets and a smaller zipper pocket. Both sides of each seat has a couple small velcro pockets. There is a "storage" pouch that hangs off the front (under your knees). I love them!!!!

Gris, I hope you don't mind if I blatantly copy your rear cargo boxes . I need something like that for my electronics and those are the best I've seen yet. Nice job. You should make some plans....
