| Post subject: | Northern VA Jeep Specialists? |
I've had my '02 Liberty for a couple of years, and everytime I want to take it in for service, something happens (family emergency, etc.) Anyway, I bought it with 41k on it, and now it has 56k and I don't think the previous owner even had the 30k service done (I could be wrong, but she didn't mention it). So recently, I started to notice shaking when I brake hard at high speeds, which probably means the brakes/rotors need replacing. And also, something with the transmission, where there's a little "thump" a second after I shift. As if the engine remembers too late, and does the shift or something. It's not a loud thump, I just feel the engine/transmission "move" late after the shift (if that makes sense). The point is, do I have a choice in terms of where to get it serviced? Is there a reliable independent Jeep shop in the area anywhere? Or must I take it to the dealership? And if so, does anyone from the Northern VA area have any experiences to share, good or bad? Thanks in advance. |

Try the novajeepers, com site. Somebody on there could tell you. Chrysler of culpepper is a big supporter of their club. |

Thanks Jeep_R_Roo! I signed up right around when I got my Jeep and planned on being more active, and wanted to go off roading. But almost two years later, none of that has happened. Anyway, thanks for the welcome, and for the info on the mechanic. Great forum, keep up the good work. |
