Post subject:  I'm having issues

So my KJ developed a weird humming noise over this past weekend that I have been trying to figure out what it is. The sound sounds like the humming you hear from a set of super swampers or mud tires going down the road. That loud humming noise. But it is coming from underneath the Jeep and not from the tires. I found a broken vent hose on the rear diff after wheeling. So I initially thought it was coming from the rear end, the other night I changed the rear differential fluid. The fluid was old and dark, but no dirt, shavings, pieces or anything came out. I cleaned it and refilled it and I still have the noise. The nosie still sounds like it is in the rear end. Or at least being transferred to or from the rear end. I'm at a lose as to what it could be and it is bugging the crap out of me not knowing. I haven't driven it for the past few days until I can try and figure out what it is. Anyone have any thoughts or going to be around Martinsburg WV and would help with a diagnosis or even a listen I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
Ryan

Rotate the tires, check the air pressure. Check the transfer case fluid, if it looks like strawberry milk, change it. Check all your other fluid levels and crawl under the Jeep with a flashlight and see if anything is rubbing. The unibodied Jeeps are horrible when it comes to transmitting sounds
