I need to get the heck out fo the city!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm thinking of a trip to OBX/ VA beach or somewhere somewhat closeish to Richmond(within 4 hours) that I can camp/sleep on the beach for the weekend. Just relax and forget about life for a while. I'm still pretty new to the area. Any ideas from locs that I can go? Must be dog friendly!!! Thanks Bryan |

Im not positive...and it may be a bit of a long trip for you but I believe you can do that on Island Beach State Park in Jersey. ScarletBegonias just posted a thread somewhere with some pictures of it. -Ryan |

If you want to go to OBX you will have to take your chances. There are two campgrounds that do not accept reservation (first-come first-served basis) so you should show up bright and early. Check nps.gov for more details. I believe one is in Oregon Inlet. |
