4 Wheel Online has the Rockcrusher Chrysler 8.25" Diff Cover (#18250) on sale right now for $75.00 plus free shipping:

http://4wheelonline.com/Rockcrusher_Ind ... 728.252027

Sounds like a really good deal (almost too good).

Anybody dealt with these folks before?

yeah, search through some of the diff cover threads, Inc has one. There is also info posted about it in the armor thread.

They called me this morning and said that it was not supposed to be free shipping, and they wanted to charge me 14 dollars for shipping, witch I agreed to. They said that there was a problem with the web site etc and that was why things were messed up.

But the ad said free shipping so they have to hold to that ad, who cares if the website is messed up, not your problem , an ad for X number of dollars and free shipping is just that no extra. I would of told them never mind I will deal with someone else then!

still comes up to 89 bucks which is cheeper than either of the 3 sites i checked when I got mine

i ended up buying one that was more expensive than the cheeper, for no shipping plus getting the lubelocker from the same order, of course that had shipping so i guess in the END it didnt friggin matter for me

i fully agree with Tom though, I would have told them tough taters, your junk said free shipping and if you're selling a diff to me then apparently i'm not paying shipping

other than that technicality, you still came out a few bucks in the green

Yeah, got the same phone call from them this morning -- I almost ripped the guy on the phone a new one, but it was obvious that somebody already had, I was at work and did not have the heart (since I knew that it was still going to come out about 5 dollars cheaper than anywhere else I could get it -- and still a great deal).

The obvious relief in his voice, and thanks that he gave me, from not beating him down on it, was worth it to me since it was obviously a bad day for him.

Sure, I would have liked to pay 14 dollars less. So, I am only getting a 41% discount as opposed to the expected 50% discount. I cam live with that. :D

It sounds like they didn't expect the response they got from the ad and were going to eat a ton of $$$$ for shipping based on all the orders.

Yeah, they said that they had 7 orders that were messed up, and he mentioned that all of the kj items were effed up with free shipping.

I already have a lube locker but i've been waiting for my new diff cover, I have been eying them for a while, and while I was up at all j's they had one sitting there but they wanted 140 dollars for it "cash" (i think it was 140). So when i saw this I jumped with both feet.

Considering mine was sorta peeling off i figured the sooner the better.

I don't understand the bad will, cant a business make a mistake? It's not like they bent you over and forced the increase, you know. They could have taken a week to hem and haw about it before they called us, they fixed the issues as quickly and as best they could.

it's not bad will
it's called the basis of false advertisment laws and consumer protection

whether they screwed up or not doesn't matter, the free shipping would have been seen in the light of being a reasonable offer

doesn't matter, i really don't see anyone getting too bent out of shape over it

and if you break either of those diff covers you're doing something wrong

That sounds like a good deal either way.

Speaking of diff guards.......Anybody know if anyone makes a diff/rear universal guard that covers the front of the diff/pinion and drive shaft universal like they have for TJ's that will fit the KJ??
